What we offer
Independence with Care provides a range of residential type services on two sites in North Walsham where staff support is available 24/7.
Put simply, we provide a range of accommodation and support services and leisure and day activity opportunities for people with learning disabilities living in and around North Walsham in North Norfolk.
Whilst we mainly provide services for people with learning disabilities, we do also support people with other similar needs and we can support people who have direct payments, self-directed support payments or personal budgets.

Day Opportunities
At Independence with Care we also run our own woodcraft centre, gardening group and art and craft day service available to the whole community. Elmwood, our woodcraft centre, the gardening group, and the art and craft service are all based in the grounds of Worstead Lodge. We can provide woodcraft type activities at Elmwood for up to 8 people each day from Monday to Thursday with gardening every Tuesdays and art and crafts on a Friday.
We also encourage many of the people we support to become volunteers or to take part in permitted work activities with local businesses in and around North Walsham. These include Beechwood Hotel, North Walsham Garden Centre and North Walsham Police Station. Other individuals attend more traditional day services locally such as Your Choice and Worstead Day Service.
Meeting Friends
We offer people living with us opportunities to socialise with their friends through activities such as ten pin bowling and Chicago nightclub evenings in Norwich.
All our accommodation and support services are registered with The Commission for Quality Care (CQC).
